ABOUT FENA

Fena Fenelon is a brand strategist, cultural architect, and the founder & CEO of The Sofenomenal Agency Group, a branding and experiential agency rooted in culture as strategy. Since 2019, she has led bold brand narratives, immersive activations, and community-centered experiences that don’t just look good, but mean something.

Brooklyn-born and a first-generation Haitian American, Fena’s work is deeply informed by culture, community, and legacy. Originally attending Suffolk University to pursue a pre-law degree, her path shifted when she discovered her calling in branding, where strategy, storytelling, and advocacy converge. That early foundation in critical thinking and persuasion continues to shape how she builds brands with clarity, intention, and accountability.

Her work spans civic initiatives, cultural institutions, global brands, and grassroots movements, and has been recognized across civic, cultural, and corporate spaces. Fena has received official citations from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts (2023) and for Sofenomenal’s work on the WNBA Connecticut Sun Block Party (2025). She served as Lead Creative Director for the Embrace Statue Unveiling (2023) and is the visionary behind BLVCKTOBERFEST, which was awarded an official city day on October 18. Her honors also include the Young Haitian Professional Award from the Haitian American Chamber of Commerce (2023) and the Legacy Award from SNIPES (2024).

Fena is currently enrolled in Harvard Business School’s Social Enterprise Initiative, participating in the Upwell Forum for Social Entrepreneurs Working in Communities of Color (Cohort 2026), where she is deepening her work at the intersection of leadership, community impact, and sustainable growth. She also serves on the board of Art in the Paint, supporting creative access and expression within communities.

Her work and insights have been featured in Essence Magazine and The Boston Globe, and she has collaborated with organizations and brands including 741 and the Connecticut Sun.

Known for translating culture into currency, Fena helps organizations, artists, and institutions build brands that move with purpose, not performance. She believes branding is not decoration. it’s direction. At the core of her work is a commitment to building brands that don’t just take up space, but reshape narratives, access, and opportunity for the communities they serve. This philosophy is captured in her agency’s guiding principle: branding the world we want to see.

Through her writing platform Empty the Clip, Fena challenges established brand builders to release fear, trust their evolution, and build brands that reflect who they’ve actually become. Whether leading strategy sessions, producing cultural experiences, or writing at 3AM, her work is grounded in one truth: holding back costs more than going all in—because ultimately, her work is about building legacy through culture, community, and brands that last.
